BBGI officially held the Groundbreaking Ceremony for the BBGI Fermbox Bio Co., Ltd. Plant.

BBGI Public Company Limited, in collaboration with Fermbox Bio, has jointly organized an official groundbreaking ceremony for the BBGI Fermbox Bio Company Ltd (BBFB) plant in Chachoengsao Province. The construction of the plant has officially commenced, marking a significant milestone. This plant is the first commercial large-scale advanced biotechnology facility in Southeast Asia, emphasizing the company's commitment to building a sustainable future through innovation and aligning with its goal to achieve advanced biotech products.

On December 25, 2023, Mr. Kittiphong Limsuwannarot, CEO of BBGI Public Company Limited, and Mr. Subramani Ramachandrappa, founder of Fermbox Bio and director of the joint venture company BBFB, led the groundbreaking ceremony for the BBGI Fermbox Bio Company Ltd plant. This project involves constructing a Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) plant. The ceremony took place at the BBGI Bioethanol Company Ltd plant in Chachoengsao Province, attended by the management team and staff.

The Groundbreaking ceremony marks the commencement of the construction of a biotechnology plant (CDMO), initiated with the installation of a large cylinder. The initial phase focuses on enzyme production, followed by the manufacturing of advanced Synbio products.

The projected fermentation capacity is set to reach up to 1 million liters, featuring state-of-the-art up-stream and down-stream equipment. The construction unfolds in three distinct phases, with a cumulative fermentation capacity of 1 million liters. Phase 1 will kick off with an installed capacity of approximately 200,000 liters.

The joint venture between BBGI and Fermbox Bio is set to establish a Biohub in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC). This initiative is geared towards elevating the overall economic quality of the country, with a specific emphasis on the New S-Curve industry targeting agriculture and biotechnology. The planned CDMO plant is anticipated to garner comprehensive support from the government.
