BBGI Highlights Bioenergy and SAF Leadership at the 8th Japan–Thailand Energy Policy Dialogue, Strengthening Thailand–Japan Clean Energy Partnerships

Mr. Daechapon Lersuwanaroj, Chief Executive Officer and President of BBGI Public Company Limited (BBGI), represented the Bangchak Group as a keynote speaker in the session “Business Opportunities between Thailand and Japan” at The 8th Japan–Thailand Energy Policy Dialogue (The 8th JTEPD). During the session, he delivered a presentation on “Bioenergy, including Biofuel and Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF)”, highlighting Thailand’s vision and potential in advancing the bioenergy industry, while showcasing the progress made by Bangchak Group and BBGI in the development of biofuels and Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). These initiatives play a significant role in reducing greenhouse gas emissions, strengthening energy security, and enhancing Thailand’s long-term competitiveness.

The 8th JTEPD was held on 29th – 30th June 2026 in Tokyo and Osaka, Japan, hosted by Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI). The Thai delegation was led by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Energy. The dialogue serves as a key bilateral platform for Thailand and Japan to exchange energy policy perspectives, strengthen cooperation, and explore new opportunities for trade and investment in future energy sectors.

On this occasion, Mr. Daechapon Lersuwanaroj, joined government and private-sector representatives from both countries in discussing opportunities for collaboration in the field of bioenergy, including technology development, investment, and the establishment of sustainable supply chains for biofuels and Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). These initiatives are expected to become critical enablers of the clean energy transition while fostering long-term economic cooperation between Thailand and Japan.

BBGI’s participation in the dialogue underscores its position as a leading biofuel and bioproduct company in Thailand, as well as Bangchak Group’s readiness to drive international energy collaboration.
