BBGI Delivers Strong Q2 2026 Results with 1,318% Profit Growth Robust Biodiesel and Bioethanol Sales, Combined with Commercial SAF Production, Strengthen Thailand's Energy Security

BBGI Public Company Limited (BBGI) reported strong financial performance for the second quarter of 2026, generating revenue from sales and services of THB 6.388 billion, an increase of 69% year on year and 32% quarter on quarter. The Company recorded a net profit of THB 485 million, surging 1,318% YoY and 83% QoQ, with earnings per share (EPS) of THB 0.34. The strong results underscore BBGI's resilience, operational agility, and disciplined business management amid global economic uncertainties and geopolitical challenges. The Company's continued growth also contributes to Thailand's energy security by supporting domestic renewable fuel production and reducing reliance on imported energy.
The Company's second-quarter performance was primarily driven by increased sales volumes across both its biodiesel and bioethanol businesses, reflecting stronger demand for biofuels. Sales of B100 biodiesel reached 115.47 million liters, representing a 39% YoY increase. Growth was supported by the government's decision to maintain the B7 biodiesel blending mandate for high-speed diesel fuel through 13 September 2026, together with continued strength in global prices for by-products such as refined glycerin.
Meanwhile, bioethanol sales totaled 67.28 million liters, up 45% YoY, driven by effective production planning, disciplined cost management, and government measures promoting the use of E20 gasohol.
In addition, BBGI recognized its 20% share of profit from its investment in BSGF Company Limited (BSGF), following the successful commencement of commercial Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) production on 21 May 2026. This milestone served as another key contributor to the Company's earnings growth during the quarter and marks an important step in BBGI's long-term growth strategy.
Despite elevated energy and production costs resulting from ongoing geopolitical tensions, BBGI continued to deliver solid operating performance through its integrated value chain management and the continuous execution of its Operational Excellence strategy. The Company remains committed to enhancing production efficiency while closely monitoring developments in the Middle East and volatility in global energy markets.
This proactive approach has enabled BBGI to effectively anticipate and respond to market fluctuations, strengthen its long-term capability to meet growing market demand, maintain stable and efficient production operations, and support sustainable business growth through prudent risk management and forward-looking operational planning.
Mr. Daechapon Lersuwanaroj, President and Chief Executive Officer of BBGI Public Company Limited, said:
"Our strong performance this quarter reflects a structural recovery in domestic demand, supported by government policies, together with the continuous enhancement of production efficiency through our Operational Excellence initiatives. Another significant growth driver was the recognition of our share of profit from our investment in Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), following the commencement of commercial production. We believe SAF will become an important long-term growth engine for BBGI as global demand for low-carbon aviation fuel continues to accelerate. At the same time, we have undertaken a comprehensive review of our asset utilization strategy to ensure that our resources are deployed in alignment with the Company's strategic priorities and future business expansion plans."
